OOOPS! Dad's got a new camera so if poppet's got time she'll find another 3000 photos on his blog soon! Hampi sounds the place to be. Minus 8 this morning! A little patchy snow a lot of waiting for something warmer!
Is Blob at Hampi. I seem to remember searching alll over the internet for a map of it when Sarah was there.
Y aren't u eating meat ? Are the cows too friendly ? They were lovely in Bangaldesh.
Looking forward to your photos! westbymumandad and Az ( a little bit limpy these days)

We're in Hampi at eth moment after a hellish 15 hour bus ride. it was supposed to be a sleeper and 10 hours long but it was like trying to sleep in severe turbulence in a trampoline. This and teh fact we were eaten alive by mosquitos meant we were just glad to arrive. Its a strange but calm place. Theres lots going on but a lot of space and a backdrop of huge pyramid temples. Tomorrow we'll explore. Today we just ate and slept.
Glad to hear Grandma is charming her new housemates. We'll bring her back a pair of fake Nike's from India. Only 10 rupees my friend. Special price.
Joyce (Mom Jeavons)
hi from freezing cold UK. It's artic weather here, bet you feel really sad for us (not!) . We are not ignoring you, but hibernating for the rest of the winter, hopefully it will be spring next week when March arrives. Grandma Mason has settled into her new home and is in training for the London Marathon ie. the staff have told her to slow down on her new walker ! mom xx

Ian said it is desperate to have written 3 in a row, I dont care.
We have put some photos of India on the site finally, found broadband but sorry Thomi no net phones, I'll try on a normal one.
We are staying in panjim, our room is a s***hole (we'll take photos), and we have to pay 10X that for something half decent.....we're leaving as soon as possible, maybe by saturday we'll be in hampi.
bye bye
Claire
ps I have a bad cold....no meat means no iron which means no immune system, going to try and find lots of spinach curries.

We're still here and fine, spent too long chilling so we're planning our trip to the old Goa and then to Hampi, on Sarahs advice and other peoples too, cant wait. We seem to be staying healthy. Someones been robbing us on our credit card, we stopped it and its all covered. They were buying event tickets in Spain! must have nicked our number in Perth, cheeky sods.
When we find an isdn line we'll upload photos, until then we're adding our journal onto the first Goa postcard.

Namaste from Goa
We arrived last night, we got to the station the other night to find they had put us in non-aircon hundredth-class with no toilet on a 12 hr journey, 10 mins before the train left with no-one to talk to and with Ians increasingly bad gut we made the decision to leave the train and check into a good clean hotel with private bathroom. We put Ian on antibiotics and avoided curries for a day and got the early wednesday morning train. So we arrived last night before sunset and found our accomodation was no longer available, after an hour of traipsing around in near darkness with all our stuff we found a place with little bamboo huts overlooking the beach, we rigged up our mozzy net and crashed after a chinese meal, ians gut is much better but still avaoiding curry. This place is beautiful, away from the hedanistic part of Goa, but still busy but relaxing. with a huge stretch of beach, weierd to see people with flesh out, although the old guys in thongs isnt good first thing in the morning. Not great internet but will try to do some photo loading later, ians recovered and is hankering for a curry. Take Care everyone Claire & Ian xxx

Happy Valentines day, we're officially not allowed to celebrate it hear as the government have recently banned it. But Ian took me out for a curry (as promised) to celebrate it was very nice but now he has the s***s........ As you have guessed we're in India now, in an internet cafe which is nice and cool but no idea if the power will go off any second. We arrived in Mumbai yesterday and after 2 days of mayhem, we're going south to Goa on tonights sleeper train for a holiday before we venture out to proper India. As the situation in Nepal seems set to stay we have an extra month here so we can slow down. This place is crazy and loud and colourful and funny but there is nowhere to sit and relax, and just let life go by, every shaded place has families sitting in and you're not allowed to go into the parks. We went to an amazing island called elephanta yesterday, an island with a huge cave temple with huge budhist sculptures guarded by lots of monkeys.
Thankyou Sis for your invaluable advice, we cant wait to tell you our experiences of the same places.
Glad the parents are plotting behind our backs, it will be great to see Jeavons Mum&Dad in France, just make sure Tony that you dont get roped into DIY like at home...only kidding.
Thomi, good luck with your tests and things and hug to your men. Thanks for the piccies, Mitch has grown so much.
Tina, Ant and Cara hope you're all well, sorry we didnt get to meet Ants cuz, he was on holiday when we went to his shop.
Catherine and Jim, have a great time in NewZealand
We'll update the website as soon as we can, no idea if it'll be possible to upload many photos.
Take Care everyone

Ben & Lynne, great to hear from you, you must be so excited about the baby now, and glad you're settled. We tried to call you and find out if you are in the new house but the number didnt work and then your address dissapeared of the BT website, could you email it to us so we can have a chat. What were you doing in India? and since when was baby Sam engaged? Say happy birthday to BBH and tell him I'm now sporting a very similar haircut to him, yes the clippers came out, I even grew a beard to match it (yes a real beard) Claires finally come to like my new 'brad pitt' look. Stop laughing, I'm just short of a few million and some mean looking shades. Where did you go in Ragistan? we're there in a few weeks. Love to Lady Lynne and congratulations again about the bayboi, another reason for Claire to be all broodie when we get back. Stay in touch

Alright guys! Got your recent email thanks - still makes us chuckle when we read all the things you see and experience compared with normal life here. We are more settled in the house now and Lynne is getting bigger every day! We are expecting the baby in about 7 weeks now!!!!
I was in India in October - top place! Delhi is okay but Rajastan is superb - cheap too. A beautiful country, with the extremes of wealth and poverty (as everyone says).
Don't think there is anymore goss round here - Dewser works in Sweden most of the time at the moment, Dean still hasn't passed his (or taken) his driving test, it was Bill's b'day on Tuesday (out tonight) and Sam and Heather are refining wedding plans...
We'll keep on enjoying the updates, postcards and photos etc...
Claire & Ian

We're really nervous but excited
