Day 11
Discover Egypt
This morning we get a bit of a lay in as we don't have to leave the hotel until 09:30. So we have some breakfast and then it's off to visit St Catherine's monastery. We walk up the hill and wonder round the monastery for a while checking out the burning bush for the second time and then we head back to the mini bus for our drive to the red sea beach camp. After a couple of hours on the bus we arrive in the town just before the beach camp and the mini bus pulls over so some people can get some cash out and Grant and I head to the beer shop. After an in depth discussion about how much beer we need for 2 days we decide that 2 cases would probably be just about enough which is 48 bottles. We get on the mini bus and Tam laughs and asks if we have enough beer and we say well if we run out we can always go out and get some more. We arrive at the beach camp and are given our huts and as is so quite we all end up with beach front huts result. Freezer loaded with beer time to put on swimming shorts have a beer and cool off in the red sea. We spend the afternoon just relaxing, drinking beer and chatting until dinner time when we all sit down and eat on a table on the beach under the stars. Life doesn't get much better than this. The most simple things are what sometimes gives us the most enjoyment. Good food and good company in a beautiful and relaxing place, oh and some beer what more could you want. After dinner we sit on the beach with a few more beers and chat about our trip, this is the last few days we have with Grant, Jen and the family as they aren't returning to Cairo with us they are off to Sharm El Sheikh for a few days of relaxation. We sit up until about midnight and then turn in for the night.
