So when we were dropped off at our hotel we first took a shower and after that we gathered information on the possibility to go to the Paradise Cave on the 30th and catch the night bus to Hanoi on the same day. Some told us that we could not to that, some people told us it was possible but asked a crazy amount of money. We needed to choose between either the Paradise Cave or NYE in Hanoi. We decided to stay, spend some days in Hue and go to the cave as soon as possible.
We spend the first day switching hotels and watching movies in the room. I was laying on bed the whole day, with a pillow underneath my leg to support it. The second day we went into the Imperial Citadel. Hue is the old center of an empire but it was quite disappointing to see. We spent about an hour in the citadel and found a playstation store where we could game for two hours for two dollars. In the evening we watched some movies again.
In the meanwhile we booked a tour that would take us to the Paradise Cave on the 1 of February and into Hanoi on the same day. We needed to be ready in the hotel lobby at 06:45 but we were picked up around 07:30 I think. We drove three hours to the cave and the cave was very cool to see. It is a recently discovered cave and we could walk one kilometer through the seven massive chambers. It was very big and impressive to see.
After the cave, we were dropped off in Dong Hoi where we would get on the bus at night to get to Hanoi. In the meantime we watched some movies and we boarded the bus around 21:00. We were dropped off at 04:30 but not in the centre. We walked for about two hours to find a place that offered breakfast and after that we continued our way to find a bus ride to Halong Bay. Philipp would leave on the 5th and he wanted to see Halong Bay so we wanted to go there first. We found out that the bus would leave at 08:30 and at 13:00 we arrived in Halong.
