We went on a 3 day self drive trip to Fraser Island (the biggest sand island in the world). We got kitted out in our group with a 4x4, camping equipment etc and off we went! The trip was so much fun and driving the 4x4 in the sand was cool - we didn't even managed to get stuck! Fraser Island itself is beautiful, the lakes, dunes, views etc are just something else, none of my pictures really do it justice. Lake McKenzie was amazing, we spent a number of hours lying there, it's a fresh water lake as well so gave us the opportunity to get rid of some of the sand I'd got in very random places!
