Today we packed up and made our way to historic Charleston, S.C. with Lorine and bill. We passed through a national park where rv bloggers have mentioned you can camp for free if you find an appropriate spot. I mentioned this to the loving bride and she gave me a dismissive "sure".
Anyway, Lorine and bill pulled into a KOA to camp, and we parked on the outside since we planned on continuing south after supper.
We rode into the park and had a quiet Corona beer while discussing travelling with Idaho Jim who was also in the park.
Now Idaho Jim and his lovely bride were in a 40' Georgiboy motorhome with accompanying car. Poor b***** had both his motorhome and car break down enroute to Florida at the same time. Now they were parked waiting to get both fixed.
Dom and Linda (Jim's bride) were comparing travel mishaps when Dom asked if their motorhome ever caught fire. We win.
Linda did say if their motorhome were to ever catch fire, she would put it out with gas, so I think Linda is done with the RVing lifestyle.
Bubba ,Lorine, the bride and I loaded our bikes in Bubba's truck and drove to old historic Charleston. We then rode our bikes around the area, very interesting, all civil war stuff. and a lot of beautiful old homes. Because it was Thanksgiving, most shops were closed and restaurants had elevated pricing for the holiday. Long story short, we celebrated American Thanksgiving in an Ihop restaurant.
Back to the KOA, and we loaded up and left for Florida hoping to make some miles. We said our goodbyes and off we went.
Few hours later, we pulled into a bizarre scene at a Walmart in Brunswick Georgia. The lot was loaded with 10 police cars parked in front while shoppers went crazy. I guess they were there to stop the fighting over the crap Black Friday sales which had started early. Anyway Dom requested an Ipad for Christmas, so we ventured in. Keeping my elbows up we found the electronics and bought the last Ipad they had for $299.00. I then left my bride to fend for herself.
By the way, you see those internet Walmart videos of various people and what they wear to shop, apparently those videos were taken in this Brunswick Georgia Walmart. Arse cracks and side boobs are the normal attire for a Georgia shopper.
Anyway, found a place to park out back and to bed I went.
Yes Dominique returned unscathed. She's a tough little trooper.
Off to Vero Beach tomorrow.
See ya

Alex Oh god, black friday in the states! I would never survive. That's a good deal though! It's cute that you made friends. They sound a lot like you two!
Lorine I can't believe you hit a Walmart on Black Friday. Wow. Now how about you fight Northern Virginia thanksgiving traffic. We'll see how tough you are. YES we are still driving. Only kidding.
