Day 12:
We set off for Lucerne as early as 7am. It was a very long drive from Paris. We stopped over at Auxerie for a 45 min break, had lunch near Montbeliard for another 45 min, and finally reached Lucerne at about 430pm.
We were given around two hours to walk around the beautiful, cobblestoned streets of Lucerne. The shops were small but pretty; very different from the shopping experiences that we have had in Paris. In the span of the given hours, we managed to get some gifts for friends and colleagues.
We were back in the hotel about 7pm. Enjoyed the room and freshened up a little before joining the rest of our tour mates for dinner at 8pm (included in our tour package).
After dinner, we went for a casual stroll. Particularly, we walked the oldest wooden bridge and took some night shots; hopefully, to capture a scintilla for our recollection in the future, as it was only a night stay in Lucerne.
Hotel Schiller was surprisingly nice and cosy. After a long day (mainly on the roads), we were both tired and slept about 10pm.
