So today I went kayaking. It was really great fun. Met two girls from Singapore who were really friendly so that was nice.
The kayaking was lovely. I shared a kayak with the tour guide so I didn't have to work too hard fortunately! And he took us to some lovely places. The first was a lagoon and we had to paddle through a cave to get to it and inside it was gorgeous. All plants up the walls and sunny. We were really lucky to get to see it because there's only one week every month that the tide makes it possible. Then we kayaked through the mangroves for a bit before coming to another cave that had lots of cave paintings from 3000 years ago in. It was quite hard to find them and we didn't know what a lot of them were of but it was fun all the same. And we got to see some huge stalactites and stalagmites. We also got a great lunch and one of the girls let me try some random tropical fruit that I still don't know the name of but it actually tasted ok!
After lunch we went to a fresh water spring and swam in the water that was freezing cold! Was really clear though and we saw lots of little fish, some that seemed to bite a bit so we figured we'd had a free fish pedicure! Haha.
Anyway the two girls were staying in Ao Nang, a beach up the road from where I was staying so I got off with them and we went and had a McDonalds!! I was highly disappointed with it though as it tasted nothing like English McDonalds but I feel like I've truly had an experience! Anyway we looked around Ao Nang and watched the sunset over the beach before I headed back to my hostel.
Was a really great day. :)
