Hello from Hong Kong!!

Currently sipping a frappucino in Starbucks on a very hot day (33c) overlooking Hong Kong Island and Victoria Harbour.

What a fantastic 3 days we've had...

...We set off on 20th after an emotional goodbye and nearly missed our flight after we delighted in taking pictures of our aircraft, when staff mentioned that we were the last 2 remaining passengers to board...awkward..! We thought asking for an upgrade may have been pushing it!

After a very bumpy flight we landed in Mumbai and spent 13 long and tedious hours waiting for our connecting flight.

Arrived in Hong Kong to a class 3 typhoon (whatever that is!) so it was a little blustery to say the least..! Through Adrian's 'thorough' preparation (geek..!) we made it to our hotel in Kowloon effortlessly and began our bus tour ride in HK Island. What a sight - always looking up due to the mere size of skyscrapers!

Day 2 - Happy Birthday Adrian!! Took the Star Ferry to HK Island to visit The Peak. Tram ride up is quite something - so steep, those of you with a fear of heights wouldn't appreciate! However, the view once we were up there was spectacular. Ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp (Forest Gump restaurant) at The Peak for Ade's birthday meal with gorgeous panoramic views.

We then took a night tour of Kowloon (town more alive than in the daytime!) Fantastic pictures of the hustle and bustle and many lights! The tour ended with the Symphony of Lights (skyscrapers of HK present a light show to music) and the skyline was the best we've ever seen!! Walked home passing the many night markets and had to walk for miles to find a simple chicken noodle meal...but it was worth the wait...much rather have that than crispy swan!!

Day 3 - A much needed lay in! Took a bus tour round Kowloon and found ourselves a cool little spot in Starbucks :)

Next stop: Bangkok...!!
