Sounds amazing, glad your both having a great time. Didn't realise that the chinese would have such a fascination with westerns tho, sounds a little odd. Enjoy the rest of your time in Xian and consider charging for photos, you might earn a fortune.

Greeting from Hong Kong Fooy Phil!
Jusr read your blog about Xian. Glad you enjoyed the warriors and were able to photograph them. Jealous at ever! ( Might have to do a weekend trip to see them!) Might be worth reconsidering the Chengdu Section. The Big Buddha at Leshan is well worth a visit because of its size. The other place well worth a visit, although when I was there, the cloud base was low, is Mount Emei. The views are stunning!
Glad the rest is going ok.
Might be off to Borneo in Dec. Will confirm in the next few days.
Cheers from the circus!

Greetings,
Just remembered the name of the rip off village. It is the BanPo Neolithic village. You need a VERY good imagination to get the most out of it. They tell you it is a real village which was discovered some time ago (1953) The story just goes on and on. In reality it is a model of what they think the village would of looked like! Any way judge it yourselves.
The warriors are a different ball game. Brilliant. Before they would not allow cameras into the main hall. You could only take pics of a warriorthat was surrounded by glass. the were upset when I put the lens right onto the glass to get rid of all the reflections!
Do a walk around the city wall. You get a good idea of the living conditions that the people had to endure. Include the bell and drum towers.
Enjoy

Hi Holl & Pete enjoy the sights, sounds and smells these are your memories when your back in England in OH Yes JANUARY lol just be carefull and alert with strangers not all wolves are hairy on the outside. Have a super time loads of love and kisses to you both be safe xxx

Greetings Again,
Glad Pete made it up the tower. It is well worth the view, except for the smog!Holly should of gone up there as the restuarant is quite nice.
Be careful of too many people wanting to practice their English. They try to get your trust, then want to be taken for a coffee or snack. They NEVER have any money with them. The ordering is done in Chinese and the bill is BIG!
Try to get up to the top of the Wild Goose Pagoda in Xian if they still let you. Good views. Terracotta Army is unforgettable. Old village site (forget name) I think is a big rip!
Cheers, Enjoy.

Alright guys - glad to see that you're having a good time! It's funny to read that you are having trouble with crossing the road - when the dancers were on tour there in January that was the exact same problem they all had! Take lots of care! Looking forward to seeing your photos and reading your updates. Do keep up with the diary - you'll appreciate being able to look back on it when you're back. For the moment though, enjoy the paparazzi experience!
