Hi guys,
Got an unexpected day off work today. The floors in the main galleries of the Museum are being painted and we were told to stay home today due to possible problems with fumes. So took advantage and caught up with your blog and a hair appointment. Good to hear you had a fantastic time in Sydney, one bonus I suppose is that you were staying in a hotel, not a campervan. How is the camper going in NZ, better I hope.
All is well in OZ, still missing you both. We had beaut weather last week, up in the high 20s, but today, although 23 degrees, we have high winds and lots and lots of rain. Good for the dams though, we need the water. You were lucky being in South Australia when you were, they are on an exceptional high alert for bushfires, with temperatures around 43 degrees, overcast and the chance of lightening. The highest temperature for SA in November on record. Dave's mum and dad are over here at the moment and they said they were glad to get out of SA. They hadn't ventured outside for nearly a week because of the heat.
Hope NZ westher has improved for you and it is not quite so cold. I believe NZ is a beautiful place - one day we might get there.
Anyway, must go. Love to you both and take care.

Susan And Trevor
Hi Hols and Pete,
Well, what a difference it makes when your internet provider gives you back your internet speed. It seems that I had some visitors here who used up a lot of our allocation and we got slowed down (he! he!). Anyway, back to normal - but having the visitors here was well worth it.
I am sorry I have not got back to you this week but I am still trying to catch up on the night's sleep I lost doing the Cancer Council 24 hour Relay for Life. If was a great 24 hours (except for having to do laps during the night). The team as whole raised $9,000 and the overall money raised by all participants over the 24 hour period was $174,000. Not bad eh! Will have to do it again next year. We are now working on our costume and theme for next year.
Trevor is doing well. Goes back to the specialist tomorrow and hopefully the all clear will be given and he won't want to see him again for a while. I have been suffering with my back and have finally gone back to the doctors and have an appointment for a CT Scan tomorrow. Have very strong pain killers to see me through the night. At last, I am getting a full night's sleep. Gosh, its my day off tomorrow and I am fully booked with appointments. Eye appointment 9.00 am, CT Scan 11.30 and then dentist at 3.20, take Melani and her friend to the railway station for 6.00 pm. Am waiting for the - can you pick Mitch up from work at 7.30 - oh well, its all good stuff and keeps me busy.
Other than that, not much else. Oh, the weather here has improved since you left. We had 36 degrees on Sunday and Monday and it has only gone down to 29 degrees since. The sky has been overcast with black clouds all day threatening to rain and storm, but it hasn't happened yet.
Wish we could have met you in Sydney Pete. I know Trevor would have loved to do the Sydney Harbour Bridge walk with you, but needs must. He will just have to do it on his own - just like you are!!!!! Try and talk Holly into doing it. She will regret it if she doesn't.
Have just spoken to Noel, we are going out for a meal on Saturday. He is going into hospital on Tuesday for his seeding (you know what I am talking about).
Well, must go now. This is quite a big message. Let me know when you are leaving and flying to NZ. It will be funny not having you in OZ after all this time. Gosh, we really miss you both. You really must plan to come back again - for longer - then we can bash the Kimberley together - it would be great wandering around the outback for a couple of months.
Love you both - talk soon. Susan and Trevor

Greeting both from the Heart of the Empire, the part of the map that was the first to be coloured pink!. The place where everyone wants to come and live. The real home of multi-culturalism. The place where all people are honest, free and open (about expenses).
Now the crap is out the way, how's the trip going? I would think that soon you should be leaving Australia and heading off to New Zealand, where men are men and the sheep are worried!
Nothing much to report at this end. (Well nothing that can be put on this site!) I am looking forward to the big 55 on Monday 2 Nov then off to Borneo at the end of the month. I think I'm running out of leave for this year, so I am looking at working on next years trips. Want to come? (Japan and Korea are the targets to cover both F1 GP's on the same trip)
Off to Aldi now to buy the out-dated food to save money as times are hard. (Got to feed the other Phil again!)
