Its been awhile since we updated the blog and we apologize. This was our last hurrah in Southern California. When we did the time share tour, we got a couple free tickets to the San Diego Zoo for listening to their sales pitch. So we headed down there for the day.
We had such a great time. We basically ran around the whole place like little kids trying to see it all. It was a blast. Probably our favorite thing to see were the primates. They were so much fun to watch. During feeding time, the apes heard the trainer coming and they all went to the middle of the pen to get some lettuce tossed down to them. One of them was acting like a teenager and kept holding up his hand and waiving his arms to get some food. It was hilarious.
We saw a lot of other cool stuff as well. Ashleigh learned about my strange fascination with ducks, and I saw her go nuts at the sea lion show. Of course as it goes, the tigers were not around for the questioning about the guys that they attacked a few weeks prior. We also said hello to the hippos for Rachel and managed to find a giraffe to take a picture with us for Jaeden.
All in all it was a great day. We topped it off by grabbing a couple tropical drinks and a bite to eat at a Tiki Bar in downtown San Diego while we waited for the rush hour traffic to subside.
Thanks for following the blog
