Day 8 Grampians National Park via The Great Ocean Road to Princetown
Last night we arrived at the hostel in the dark and couldn't appreciate the beautiful surroundings of the mountains. This morning we have breakfast and have chance to take in the breathtaking scenery, the fresh air and the wildlife. Our tour guide takes us to the village cricket ground. It is swarmed by kangaroos feeding on the grass; I suppose it's a cheap way of cutting the grass.
Next we start our trek up to the Pinnacle, the view is even better than yesterday and well worth the climb.
After this we head south to the coast and Warnambool, where we spot whales off the coastline. At this time of year the mother whales teach their young how to catch food and it is easiest to do this by the shore.
Along The Great Ocean Road there is a lot of exploring. We see the Bay of Islands, Bay of Martyrs, London Bridge (not the one in London), Loch Ard Gorge and then watch the sunset over the Twelve Apostles.
Tonight we stay in a hostel in Princetown.
