Heather's Adventures!
Hey all,
Right now I am in Zurich. I promise I am neutral... Just kidding. I never knew what expensive was until I looked for an Internet cafe and the man (who was originally from Afghanistan) told me that the Germans and the rest of Europe is basically living 3rd world status. That is pretty much the attitude I have gotten from most Swiss people. I find it pretty amazing all of the money that is in this country. I thought that in so cal we had it good. Minimum wage at a basic job here is about 20-30 franks an hour. And think about that. 1 us dollar will get you about 1.2 franks. Yep, a big mac here (not that I have had one) will run you in the 8-9 franks range. A small regular coffee at Starbucks is 4.20. Just to elaborate.
Today was a great day I rented a bike for free. (But it really was not free) because I was a giant advertisement for (one of our embassies) MC Donald's. The bike just had a couple of signs on it. But it was free. I got to ride around lake Zurich and the whole town it was great. I am going to leave this great land, because I am off to France. Where I will let you know when I get there. Don't worry I am safe. And they do have great chocolate her I tried some out.
Much love
Heather
