Walker's Travels in Scandinavia 2017 and others
Fine and sunny 7-26deg, but by 9am it was 15deg, 25km, av 13.5km/h, tot 584km. Greg decided to recon the route for tomorrow and he was glad he did as it got fairly complicated because of never ending roadworks. He made it to France and confirmed the way to Mulhouse before crossing the Rhine into Germany for a ride. Wendy visited the Pharmacy Museum which covered the profession from the Dark Ages to the 20th century. She then took in the Anatomy Museum, but due to the language barrier it was a little limited. We will spare you the gruesome photos which she took. We both then caught a tram (getting to know our way around - time to leave) into the city and wandered around the newly restored Basel Cathedral (ABC). The original building went up in 1019. The immaculately restored red sandstone exterior adds a different dimension to this massive structure perched high above and overlooking the Rhine. Each ABC seems to try and outdo the one we saw previously. A quiet night before we leave Switzerland for the last time this trip.
