Walker's Travels in Scandinavia 2017 and others
Total km for tour 1,574km, 17-25 deg cloudy and cooler. Back at the Holiday Inn where we started so a nice hearty brekkie in-house. Bus-loads of Chinese and Indian tourists are still here. It's nice to see that they now are the new "middle class" and have the resources to travel and see the world. That way they can share the joys of their success. Today we need to clean the bikes (for our very fussy Customs & Quarantine people) and put them back in their boxes for the trip home. It's much easier if you can use the same boxes and packing they came in instead of trying to find new ones at the departure point. This is the reason we try and fly in and out of the same airport. We retrieved our boxes from the hotel staff and 35 minutes later we had disassembled the two cleaned bikes (remove pedals, handle-bars, front wheel & seat) and had them packed up and sealed. Team work! After cleaning up and consuming mornos in our room we caught the bus into the city for a wander. Ended up at the "Zeil" a flash funnel shaped glass shopping centre in the mall. Kept walking to the Old Town which is a very well done rebuild after WWII. One building was left standing after the bombing apparently. That's what happens sometimes when you pick a fight; you end up with a blood nose. We'd had our quota of churches, museums, palaces and castles for this tour so about 2pm we headed back to the Train Station for the bus home. Dinner was back at the Chicago Meatpackers Restaurant on the Main River, where the tour dinners started. Great meals (steaks/salmon/chicken) and great USA/German beer/wine and great company. What a nice way to conclude the tour. An early night was had by all.

Tinkie Beswick Congratulations to all of you - you certainly look suitably relaxed in the last group photo. We have loved sharing the experience with you through G & W's travelpod. Hope your journey home is safe and as relaxed as possible. Blessings and Love Mum and Dad Beswick
Marion Adlam Milage impressive. Oscar rode to Wal's Camp this morning to make volcanoes on the sand bar. Then we had all had pies in Howard while Mummy slept. Footie, playing in the drains late afternoon was enjoyed by the boys while the ladies fitness walked the strip. Passed on eating out tonight; a bit cold and the kids still have colds. Back to just the 2 of us by late morning. Enjoy the flight and back to your own bed. C u soon M & M
Phil & Sandy Anderson Greg and Wendy, wehave really enjoyed following your adventures; you certainly seemed to have had a wonderful time. Greg, you really have a gift of conveying the essence of your travels. It was good to see you on the tour Wendy, keeping an Eagle eye on Greg so that he doesn't go too crazy. (in a good way) We look forward to catching up with you in the not too distant future. Blessings to both of you. Phil N Sandy.
