Now that I'm quickly getting to the end of my long journey accross America, I feel I need to start taking more time at all my major attractions.

There really is no wonder that the Grand Canyon is one of the worlds wonders. When you consider that it is nearly 2.5KM on average above sea level, a peak over the edge may not be the smartest move. I went to the 'South Rim' where most of the tourists go. It is the most common because of it's accessibility and spectacular views. There are information stations littered all over the park and there is even a serice that allows people with mobile phones to get guided tours by calling a number. I did this but when I got back to the motel tonight, I noticed a nasty bill waiting from Telstra. Not the best way to end an otherwise fantastic day in my life.
