Inter-railing Europe
Are we excited people, it's the penultimate city and not wanting to disappoint my avid readers i thought i would add another page to my journal. You'll all be glad to know that Holly hasn't tried to sell or trade me for the past few hours! Today we found out that paying a bit extra for first class on the trains you get given food and drink for no extra cost. It was very very exciting and the seats were huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge, woohooo!
Yesterday we spent three or so hours in a queue at Barcelona train station waiting to buy our tickets for the train to Madrid, only to be told that there were no tickets left for the trains, shock horror. Once we managed to get around the language barrier we found that we could take two trains and change on route to Madrid. Sadly on the second train we had to go in first class, the supplement was a little more, but cheaper than the hotel train. It was worth it, so on the whole we had a good journey here. When we arrived we went on the usual hunt to find the hostel, carrying a huge backpack and navigating foreign underground systems is no for the faint hearted, but we survived! So, here we are in Madrid, i think the current plan is to see some sights and go anywhere with air conditioning, and maybe do some shopping!
Anyways im not making much sense, it's been a long day...
