Yo! Yesterday i did the Tongariro Crossing. Oh my god i went through hell and back in doing it. It took my 7.5 hours and it was no where near a walk it was a blimen hike. There is a lot of climbing involved in trecherous volcanic terain and a lot of sliding down the other sides. You will not believe the pain i am in at the moment, even sat down! I met a girl in the hostel (Jen) and so we did the walk together. We had a giggle doing it as i taking the mick out of her canadian accent and visa versa and we kept each other going in serious times of need. LIke when we kept on hitting the wall of "i cannot go any further". The views at the top were amazing, we walked through craters, had lunch by crater filled emerald blue coloured lakes, saw and smelt the thermal hotspots, saw the main volcanos from the distance and thought the people climbing them were absolute freaks and climbed up valcanic mountain sides and walked down through meadows of grass and forests. The scenery was so different and something which unfortuntely dont think my camera truly captures. Jen and i went out last night and i was dancing with my lower body not moving just my upper body! We really bonded going to hell and back in doing that hike. It was strange but wicked to experience something so self challenging with an absolute stranger! So today i am resting and feeling rather tired and dare i say...hungover! D'oh! When i was in bed this morning we experienced earth tremers only small ones but it was quite exciting. Apparently they have them in this region of Nz 200 times a year! A gal in my dorm is from San Franscisco and she said that they are quite small tremers here. It was a weird feeling to think that below the earth is moving! HOpe your all ok and a good weekend was had by all? Loads of Love to everyone Helen xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'd say you have done enough: banana boat (less said the better), throwing yourself out of a plane and then of a platform over a river - I wouldn't do anything else again for a little while. Good on you tho love ya loads xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Helen
Ha, ha, I did a BUNGY JUMP this morning!
I tell ya tho, Helens nerves nearly got the better of her! But on the count of 3 i dived of the edge plumiting to the river below, bounced up and did it all over again. Up and down, up and down. I screamed initially, then it took my breath away and then i did some more screaming! I've got a video and pictures as evidence. The video is quite funny, as at first it was a little yelp, then towards the end i started to laugh (quite random i think) and then the good old swear words came into use, such as "f**king hell, wot have i just done!!" It is a very weird feeling, may not be one that i do again, but i'm glad i did it. Anyway, i have arrived in Lake Taupo and it is a gorgeous day with the sun sparkling on the biggest lake in Nz or maybe the southern hemisphere, (not to sure). Lake Taupo is a crater lake formed by a massive volcano explosion from which they havent discovered the bottom as yet! Gona be here till monday, hopefully tomoz i'm gona do the Tongarrio Crossing which goes across volcanic landscape and it is supposed to be one of the best walks. It'll take me 6-8 hours which i aint looking forward to, but hay, it'll be an experience. So sunday i'll be resting! Anyhoo, hope your all ok? Mum and dad you both can pick yourselves of the floor now, i am still alive to tell the tale. I dont think i'll be doing anymore adrenelin sports! Love to you all. Helen xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Helena. It sounds like you are having a fantastic time and the photo's look amazing. It is raining and cold here, so I dont blame you for staying away until August/September. However, we are all missing you. So what has been going on in my life then........ Things between me and C are fine, however we had our first big row last night but we have now kissed and made up. I am going to centre parc's with him next week and I cant wait. I am still trying to lose weight but the chocolate men keeps kidnapping me and feeding me chocolate. I am going to the gym but only twice a week as my knees are so bad at the moment. I am due to see me surgeon in March to discuss taking the screws out of my knee. However, he wanted to operate on my right knee next week, but I said no and that I didnt want my right knee operated on until next year. Me and Gareth are still trying to sell the house, it is driving me crazy. I went out valentines night with some of the girls over to walkabout and had a fantastic night, I got very drunk. However, I am back on the band wagon and staying sober with Julie. I must point out that you are very brave young lady with all the bungee jumping and scuba diving, I am very proud of you. Right I better go and do some work. Missing you loads. Love Holly Olly xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Helen,
Just a quick note while I eat my lunch at work. Spent yesterday looking through some of your photos. Hope to do
the same today. They are really great. The girls here especially liked the dolphin photos. I am going to bring the
DVDs in here so we can all look at them. I think its crazy that a girl can throw herself out of a plane at 15000 ft
with no problem but can have so much trouble getting into it in the first place!! Anyway now that you have done
it I think it was a great thing to do. Coming to terms with the bunjee jump. Just tell me when you've done it.
We are picking the kitchen furniture up on Saturday, so that room will be finished and it does look good. We are
very pleased with the windows too - much less work for Dad. Hope NZ is still coming up trumps. We are firmly
hooked on the motor home idea for our visit in a few years time. Think Dad will be upset if the trip to Oz in June
doesn't come off - he's booked his leave already. Take care. Love, hugs and kisses from Mum and Dad xxxxxxxx

Another fab set of photos hun, about time they were on here - took me ages to look through them all. Loving the adventure outfits and I see what you meant about the skydiving 1!!! I'm glad to see that you are still looking extremely well and radiant - this travelling mallarky certainly agrees with you. Not really much to tell you from this part of the World and I can't really comment on the birthday photos as I'm yet to see them but I can imagine how aweful they will be - I was a little bit minging a little early on! I've had a busy weekend with a Walkabout night Friday, 2 parties (Mich's 21st and Kira's 4th - great party buffet, I was in my element), went ice-skating and totally freezed my butt off but I didn't fall over, went out for dinner and had the addition to the family - hopefully have a calmer 1 this weekend and Scouse maybe going home Thursday so it will certainly be quieter 1 if he does!! I've slacked a bit lately of going to the gym or swimming but its so damn cold I don't want to go out and get undressed and that but its not long till I go on holiday or till the run so I'm going to start going properly again (next week)! Anyway keep the photos and gossip coming, keep smiling and taking care of yourself. Missing you loads, love and hugs, Me.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Ha, ha, nothing like being prepared! Something very random happened to me on sunday. Something which i aint too impressed about. In the hostel i'm in i have seen someone i used to work at Argos with. Dóh! Fareham is haunting me! Then at various points yesterday i saw him again, but i really couldnt be bothered to go up and say hi because i was eating!! Ha, ha!! Well priorities! Hope everyone is ok? Keep smiling! Lots of love Helen xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hey Helena, loving all the photos especially all those sexy outfits you been wearing!! I am now very jealous, specailly the swimming with Dolphins which i would really love to do. It looks like you're having an absolutely fab time still and you're looking really healthy to. The tan is coming on nicely!! Had a night out with my boys of Mersey for Valentines night which was really nice as it was Joes' last run ashore in Pompey before he leaves the ship. We made sure he had a good send off, hoping to get to Liverpool for his final run ashore with the ship but we'll have to wait and see. Not a lot has really happened since i last wrote which you will probably be surprised at. Oh, i did see the elusive Miss Drummond yesterday after bellowing down the street at her and dragging her into my house. She has moved in with Clarky, been there for about 4 weeks now and they are off to Egypt in about a weeks time on holiday. She seems happy enough but we did have words with her especailly cos she hasn't been out with us once this year so far. Well not long now until me and Jen are off to Dublin, really looking forward to it. Think i've gone a bit over the top with buying new clothes but hey got to look my best for all those fit men in Dublin!!! Just going to make mine and Eve's dinner so i will be off now. Keep enjoying yourself and keep the tan coming on. I will write again before i go away. Love and hugs, Jules xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hoorah! I have finally downloaded my pictures! Taken me 3 hours! Anyway, i hope you all enjoy them, there are some which will bore the hell out of you or some of you at least, but i really dont care! I like them! Ha, ha! Anyway you all are up to date now with my trip and in the next few days i can download my ones of Wellington. So, yes, i am in wellington. went out on friday with some people from the Magic bus. It all started off quite randomly. Firstly me and matilda were upgraded to a girls dorm called santurary in base hostel. That included our own girls bathroom, cos boys smell, free shampoo and conditioner, a new fluffy towel (my god its lovely) and a feather pillow and nice bedding. And the best bit was free bubbly for an hour in the basement bar. So we went there for drinkies and well me and matilda (hannah, mel, teresa and kate you would have been very proud of me) definelty got our fair share of bubbly! So anyway, went out into town and thats about it, came home had a pissed conversation with my mummy and staggered into bed after falling over in the loo. God dam it! So matilda and i have bee wandering around wellington and taking it all in. LOvely place and the hostel makes it loads better too! Its been really sunny here so i am working on my tan....ha, ha, dont be so silly helen! Anyway, i hope you enjoy the pics, have i just said that? Dóh! P.s, Nice dancing Tasha, really, really proud of julie for taking those highly embarrassing pictures of you which i hope in time will come to haunt you!! Ha, ha!! Anyway, i'm finally off to bed, very tired of well doing very little today! Big hug and lots of kisses! Helen xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
