Hello from Singapore airport, they have free email here and the shops are endless! We have just under 2 hours to wait around, gem and rob are getting a coffee (sophisticated pair!) Gems mum's house in bunbury is massive, they have their own pool, look out on to a resevoir etc, etc. The good life! Anyway, you'll be pleased to know that we havent killed each other yet, altho we cant on the next flight as i'm sat 20 rows behind them both! Slightly defeats the object of getting the same flight home as them, but hay, ho. I'm determined to finish the divinci code and try and sleep sat up. mmmm, could be difficult! Best go and talk to the terrible twosome over their coffee and probably my orange squash! Oh, by the way i'll be back on my usual mobile number: 07900993811. Cu all soon. Love Helen xxxxxxx

hay everyone, well this is probably my last entry on to the website! I have downloaded the pictures from the west coast and my few days in perth. What else is there for me to say, i think you all know by now that these last 5 months have been amazing in realtion to what i have seen, done and the people i have met along the way. I dont really know whether alot of you knew, but b4 i left i felt i was a bit of a mess. I had just been made redundant from a job that i ironically didnt like anyway, and i couldnt sum up the courage to move out of home and get an id job anywhere, i felt i didnt know what i wanted to do anymore. So, it seemed like a good idea to get up and go away! Ha, easier said than done! I think saying goodbye to me ma and pa at the airport was the hardest thing i have ever had to do in my life, it was the fear of the unknown that made it all worse for me. Luckily i met hannah at sydney airport, but those 24 hours on the plane were bad! I was too emotional to even listen to music!! So, my adventure had begun! Travelling has done me the world of good and as corny as it sounds, i definatley know and understand myself more than ever. I've definatley become more confident in myself and i now feel ready and want to move out of the south and go anywhere for an id job. If i dont make this change, then all this travelling would have been a waste of time. I need to change my life or i'll get stuck in a rut again. And i really dont want to return to that state ever again, i like the way i am now! Blimey this is a bit of a heart renching essay, are you all still awake?! Making the decision to come away was so hard but my family and especially my uni friends (you know who you are) made the decision alot easier and clearer for me. I definatley couldnt have done it all without you. I owe you all a special hug! Anyway, i'd like to thank you all for all your emails, messages, texts, xmas and b'day cards that i have received along the way. I dont think you all appreciate just how much they make a difference when your on the other side of the world on your own. Anyhoo, now i hope your all understand me a bit more. I'll love you and leave you and see you all in a few hours either at the airport or chicagos! (thats if me, rob and gem havent killed ourselves on the plane!) Bye for now. Love Helen xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hey Hun, well what an adventure you've had and what a journey! I know you've been updating us on this site and in e-mails etc but I cannot wait to see and hear all about everything from you direct - like you said in 4 days - woohoo!! Shame you won't be able to get a bit of last minute tanning in but don't worry about that, just make sure you make the most of the last few days there - besides I'm sure you have a lovely colour, well I hope you do after 5/6months!!! It sure is a small world - fancy meeting another 2 people from the area - it's madness, but how fantastic that you've made a whole new bunch of friends to enjoy your travels with. I have some exciting news - me and John are officially house hunting! We're hoping to get something local by the summer - it's all very scary and it means are social life will be put on hold for a bit but it'll be worth it. So watch this space for a house warming party!! Anyway best get back to work - have a fabulous 4 days and I'll see you on Saturday. Take care, miss you, love and hugs, Me.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hello from Perth! Yes i have finished the last trip in oz and i'm back in civilisation, feels a bit strange but perth is a very laid back city and so its not as hectic as sydney. The west coast trip was really good, i started to make my way back from exmouth on saturday. On friday in exmouth i did a day trip to local beaches and did some more snorkelling in the ningaloo reef. The beaches on the west coast are stunning, almost better than the east coast. ON the trip back to perth i had to join another group, which didnt mind too much as now i'm so used to introducung myself to strangers. Anyway, the trip back proved to me just how smaller a world it is. I met a lad from hillhead who is pals with karas little brov and a lad who went to bo'mo uni and knew someone on my course. Very random! The trip back was very long and tiring, we stayed on a sheep farm on sat night and on sunday we went to a reptile park, where i again held 2 snakes...my face says it all i the pics! finally got back to perth late sunday night and then we all went out to northbridge and i got back in at 4am! D'oh! Yesterday, me, sam and mark went to freemantle for the day, wondered around, found some singers grave from ACDC all in all it was a funny day. Today i've been taking in the sights of perth i went to kings park which overlooked the cbd. Its
quite cold here at the mo so last minute taning will be very hard. Anyway, i'm getting excited about coming home now, i def feel ready to go and face the challenge of the dreaded job hunt! Anyway, hope your all ok and had a good bank holiday weekend? See you in 4 days!! Love Helen xxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Hellie, coming home ???? You've only been gone a week !! Ah, time flies when you're leading the same old life every day as you always were! Meanwhile your dear friends are off galavanting around the globe. Never mind, some of us have to keep the govornment in taxes. Seriously, sorry I haven't writen for a while, everyone else has lots to say so I usually read their messages and then forget to write myself. Still, not really anything good to tell you, rich is currently job hunting as he finishes in June. I am spending most of my waking hours practicing agility with Jake as it turns out he is actually quite good! Shame about the owner. Oh well, we are at a competition next Sat but will be at the pub as soon as poss after. Lots of big scary love 'n' hugs for now. Emma xxxxxxx

Hi Mate....still having fun???!!! sounds like you are...cramming the last exciting stuff in! I tried to call and left a message. thought we could have one last chat before you head home to the mother land....! i'm much happier these days as i have formulated a plan with regards to my travels through malaysia and thailand. am going with 2 guys so feel very happy that i'll be safer than doing it on my own....and of course 2 guys can never be a bad thing!! tee hee.....one of them i spent the weekend in Sydney with and he is my new friend so i'm happy. will be updating this plan on my website soon...so i'm saving like a mad thing. i have $100 a week to live on which means things are pretty tight but it will all be worth it. still got Ayers Rock and Phillip Island to do. Going to an AFL game on saturday with work - in the corporate box no less! never been in one of those before....free food and drink and men running around in shorts...should be heaven - helen you shoulda still been here!!! Anyway, i hope the last leg of the trip goes well if i don;t catch up with ya but hopefully i will. take care mate and get that last bit of tanning in!!!! Teresa x x x

Hello people! 9 days and counting!!! I'm in Exmouth at the mo, i'm supposed to have returned to perth yesterday on the same tour but i decided to stay here and chill and work on the tan as perth is cold!! Also last night i met up with gem and rob as they are in a campsite just down the road from my hostel (which is one of the worst ones's i've stayed in, i cant cook as there are cockroachs everywhere!) We went out foe a chinese last night and are meeting up tonight as they are diving everyday. Anyway, my trip up the west coast has been really good and i've seen so much yet again. The best thing i have done is swim with a whale shark in coral bay. We ended up having 2 attempts as the first day we only saw a mantra ray and no shark. LUckily on tuesday we saw a whale shark and it was the most expensive 2 minutes of my life. To cut the story short, the shark kept swimming round in circles, so as we all apprached it was side on to us all, i was pushed to the back by an annoying yank man, so as i was watching and swimming with it on its side, it suddenly turned in a circle and came straight towards me.. Yes i had eye contact with a whale shark. As you can expect i pooed myself and very, very quickly i swam out of its way. I didnt even have time to get my camera. I also did a lot of snorkelling in the ningaloo reef and on the second attempt i swam with a manta ray, as the first time i completley missed it and everyone laughed at me! D'oh!!! Its been a good few days on the coast, i leave exmouth on sat and arrive in perth on sunday and then go to gems mums place in bunbury next thursday, and then fly home on friday. I'm now dreading the flight as appartently gem fell asleep for most of it on the way here so i'm gona have to put up with rob on my own! Kill me now, kill me now!! Anyway, i hope your all ok? I'll email next from perth, lots of love Helen xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hey Hun, only 11 days to go and counting!! Well I'm back from my Easter travels safe and sound and I had an absolutely fantastic 2 weeks. Despite having flu and bad ears for the majority of the holiday we had a great time - Salou was lovely and the weather was gorgeous. By the time we got to Liverpool I was still bunged up but was feeling much better and it was lovely there too - minus the gorgeous weather!! I did e-mail you yesterday to tell you all about it but found out today that system is playing up again so hopefully you'll get it in the week - if not I can tell you about it when you get home. I've finally managed to read all your messages and look through all the photos - which as always and to no surprise are brilliant, although there were many similar scenic ones - I think someone got a bit snap happy but then if I was there I'd probably be the same! You have a lovely glowing colour and look amazingly well - thought you'd start to look a little washed out from all this moving from place to place, early starts and heavy nights but you look as I said - amazingly well. I'm very impressed with the amount you've actually done while you have been away - the Neighbours Night and tour photos were brilliant - I was quite surprised at how scary Lyn looked, Toadie looked the same and dare I say but for an old guy Karl is quite nice! Anyway I should get on with some work - glad your still having an awesome time and are making the most of your last couple of weeks there. Take Care and see you real soon. Love and hugs, Me.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
