Big day setting off for Tumut. We woke up to Black Cockatoos in our trees at CP.
First stop Adaminaby. Adaminaby was moved about 50 years ago, old Adaminaby is in the middle of Lake Eucumbene. Adaminaby is home of The Big Trout as well as the location for the movie Phar Lap.
The next stop was Yarrangobilly Caves. At Yarrangobilly Caves there is accommodation and camping also Thermal Pool , the cave its self was fantastic.
Next stop was Providence Portal . This is the outlet tunnel from Tantangara Reservoir and flows into Lake Euchmbene. There are also holiday cabins on the Lake side.
Next stop was Tumut a very pretty town.
Next was Cabramurra a small town built for the construction of the Snowy Mountain Hydro Electric Scheme. On our way back a small diversion New Chum Hill where some gold mining took place. By this time was getting late so headed for home the trusty caravan.

Jenny Are these solar panels?
helen750 No, these are the roofs of the chalets at the Cabramurra 'workers camp'. Whole town owned by Snowy Electricity. So no solar only hydro. Ted
