Up to catch the mini-van across the border to Penang, Malaysia. John refused to hand over our passports to the driver so he got the pip with us. Eventually the whole van load of us filled their details out on the driver's sheet. The driver managed to over pack the bus, just pushed a guy and shut the door on us. The gap was apparently on the 3 seats that John, Cheyenne and I were sharing. They squished another passenger in somewhere else. We eventually made it across the border and we were excited to be in Malaysia. The land of the friendly. Yippee. Just under 5 hours on and easy mini van trip. Penang is also not like the brochures. Full of high rise accommodation blocks. We were booked into an ultra cheap but very nice accommodation. Found a Chinese market set up at the end of the row of shop houses we were in.
