Well the day finally arrived for us to leave on our White Christmas Adventure. Our first flight came and went hassle free which is a good thing for us considering our record with delays. We arrived in Auckland three and a half hours after leaving Melbourne. The next flight was the killer and the one we were least looking forward to. We also had a small delay, however it was a good delay as we were to be flying with a very strong tail wind which knocked an hour of our flight time and we wouldn't have been able to get off the plane in San Fran so they held the flight back an hour.At San Fran Airport we got lost but neither of us minded the extra walk after sitting on a plane for 11+ hours. As we flew into Seattle we noticed how dark it was even though it was only 3:30 in the afternoon it was also very overcast. As we got off the plane I was expecting it to be quite cold however it really wasn't that bad.We arrived at the hotel and were very happy with the accommodation (although as I type the noise from the fire engines are driving us mad). We went straight out for a walk (after being trapped inside airplanes and airports for 23 hours) and made it to the Space Needle.Of course once we got there we had to go up it.After viewing the night sky we walked into the centre of Seattle and checked out the Christmas lights, Santa and the Pike Market Place (where they throw the fish).Next we had dinner at a typical American Diner and sampled some local Seattle Beers (for the record they weren't that good). Then we headed back to the hotel for a well earned rest.
