We were picked up at 7.30 and at least this time the driver hadn't overslept. We had a lond day ahead of us, 12 hours in a mini bus. The journey passed by without a hitch and we arrived a little later than planned in a place called Probolinggo. We stepped of the train 8 long hours after setting off from Jakarta, we walked out of the station to be pounced apon by taxi drivers and tuc tuc drivers. Heading from the deserted beach of the mentawai islands to the chaos of Jakarta was always going to be tough but we were both craving some city life.... Not to mention some western food!
