hi everyone, well i'm in kampala now, and we have two days here-thankgod.
nairobi was good, but not much there, we started the tour on sun, and we only have a little group going to the gorillas-8 of us, which is good, but 3 of the people the rest of us dont get on with, i cant really tell you about them now, cause 2 of them are next to me right now, but lets just say they already have the nicknames of THE MASTERS!.
our 1st night was in the bush, and apparently the most dangerous, on this bit of the tour- to vic falls. anton the tour leader told us if we need to go loo in the middle of the night, it has to be right by the tent, cant even walk the few paces to the loo , its too dangerous. we went on a game drive the next morning, we saw tons of animals-rhinos,zebra, hyenas, it was really good. than we saw this poor baboon that was dieing, it was trapped under a branch, and when it managed to get itself free, there was all blood in its mouth, poor thing.
putting up our tents is a mission, the 1st night, it was pissing down, and we got soaked, i got the s***s badly, trying to put the stupid thing up. One of the masters the mr, said to me and jo last night, thats he's going to give us a tent lesson, but he doesnt want to tell us what to do,he said that because his girlfriend the mrs master (the 3rd is miss master), keeps telling the rest of us what to do, so last night when i had the s***s over the tent, i was shouting at jo that i was fed up with everyone telling me what to do, than mrs came over and said she wanted to help us, but not for us to get offended. i dont care that they heard me, might make her stop telling us what to bloody do!
the next day (yesterday) we spent it in a kind of a resort, and our little group (excluding the masters) upgraded to dorm rooms, it was really cool there, a huge bar, which you got to through a tunnel, we're going back there in about 10days, so we'll upgrade again.
we got to kampala where we are now, last night, and as it was 2 birthdays in a row, we were up till 4am drinking, i'm surprised i'm not hung over, we drank, beer, sambucca shots, southern comfort shots, vodka. there is no way any of us would be able to get on the truck today.
and a really bizaar thing happened, we were telling one of the girls a story about our friend rachel who we met in ireland, about 4 years ago, than an hour later she walked into the bar! she's on absoulte africa tour, and started a week before us, it was so weird, hopefully we see her in cape town, we get there 2 days before she leaves, so it woud be good to catch up properly with her.
i'm sorry if not all of this makes sense, but i cant make out the letters on the keys, better go, lunc is ready.
oh we're all in cooking groups, its jo and emily tonight-cooking bolagnasie, than me and beth tomorrow, doing almost the same, the mrs and miss master got out of the cleaning up today-b****es and it was their turn.
hopefully next time i write it'll mke more sense, i'm on a time limit and been writwing too quick.
