Went to the clinic this morning! I am so glad I have health insurance !! The Dr recorded my Bp as 100/70 which is quite high for me and my temp as 35.2 because she was too impatient to let it finish and then after some blood tests and a urine test concluded I have an infection but unsure of where is it..... So I am on antibiotics and regular pain killers for the headache! Hopefully tonight I will have a much better night

Last night we all went to sleep about 2100 because it had been a long day and I was feeling a little headachey- like when my Bp is low... It's been a hard day for the girls!! We went to labour ward this morning and it was very busy!! I delivered a baby and then helped one of the UK child health nurses deliver the second! The second woman had FGM and managed to deliver her baby boy with only a 2nd degree tear, I thought it would be much worse ! Then the midwife- who I have seen suture before wanted to suture with no local anaesthetic so I quickly did it before the MW could go ahead with the needle.....

I SURVIVED WEEK 1 ! So the story starts with a tipsy Hayley bravely travelling to Africa completely underprepared. Not nearly packed enough clothing and almost no essentials! After an amazing 13 hour set of flights from Edinburgh to Kilimanjaro with KLM... Free food and wine on demand and a great selection of films! We finally landed in 29• heat.
