Ko Lanta.... wow

This is picture perfect paradise. Definately the best place we have been in Thailand and I cant imagine it getting better than this! We were touted on the boat over here with people trying to sell us accommodation for as little as 4 pounds which is 2 pounds each right on the beach. We held out for Bee Bee's bungalows and glad we did. The guy had made all the bamboo huts himself and they were all individual in their own way accross from the sea and the sunset. With chilled music and cushions, hammocks, chillin areas and huts all over the place. We sat on the floor on cushions with a candle and had dinner watching the sunset go down it really was perfect. Everything goes on the bill there everything is very slow and chilled, fire throwers entertain you at night and everyone is really really friendly. We were picked up from the pier and rode in the back of a pick up truck which was an experience! Your not allowed to book in advance as they probabley think keeping a record causes too much stress! It was great, bohemium, chilled paradise. I definatley would like to take me Mum there when she comes over. I think I would really like to spend Christmas there too it just was beautiful. All accross the beach was lanterns and lights but not seedy or commercialised but sporadic. All accross the beach everything was made from bamboo, everyone sat on cushions on the floor. We saw alot of families there and couples. Its somewhere I would definately come back on holiday. Lots of regae bars and men with dreadloches. We met a guy called Tim from Devon who had just finished teaching kids english in Tanzania. We spent a couple of days with him and hired a moped and toured the island. Unfortunatley he came off the moped going to get us petrol because we ran out. We felt really bad. He is okay though just a bit shaken and a few scratches. We are going to meet up again in Railay next. He just reminds us of James exactly the same! Which reminds me James if your reading this email me your mobile number as we have a Thai number now!
