A bit manic today, getting quotes to go to Cambodia and on all the visas we need. Because we have left it too late ( I dont know whats wrong with me at the moment! I keep leaving things to the last minute like everyone else!) I think it maybe due to the fact we are never in one place for long so its hard to sort things out. We are paying extra to get our visas in one day. We thought it best to go through and agency as Tim and Becky had spent the whole of today in the British Embassy just getting an extension for 7 days! Me and Mike had a bit of a spat after it was all done as he always seems a bit irratable when handing over large amounts of money. We had to give the woman 7700 Baht its only 70 quid each for the Vietnam and Lous visa in one day and passport photo's but Mike thought we were being ripped off. We had been around all the agencies me filling in the different prices in a spreadsheet i'd written in my diary and I disagreed as we needed it the next day. He said we could of got it cheaper. I ended up storming off saying that he didnt do anything to help as I'm the one sorting it all out and knowing exactly whats going on while he sits there with a blank look on his face. I instantly regretted saying that as he was tring to help, I appologised later and so did he. I love the way after a spat he just speaks to me as normal and carry's on being nice to me while i sit there in a stinking mood! He brings me out of my selfish mood quicker than anyone I know and I love him for that, he gave me a big hug and we forgot all about it. I think this may have been our first spat since travelling and it lasted about 30 seconds!

1) Poem: I was reading my Thailand poem out to Tim on the roof of our Hotel next to the pool in Bangkok and a guy came over later to ask who wrote it and if he could have a copy. He couldnt believe it when I told him i'd wrote it and he said it summed up EXACTLY what Thaialnd was about. So I re-wrote it for him and have him a copy. He was a fashion designer / Product Manager for a firm in Oz. He now works with drug abusers, great guy to speak to ... lives in Adelaide. He gave me his card as I instantly thought of my Mum for the fashion side so who knows....
2) Dreadlocks: Mike got them done today and they look wicked. Right down past his shoulders for 40 quid. He could have got them cheaper but cheaper I've learnt is not always best. They really suit him, just about the only person I know who could pull them off!
3) Finally back blonde... sigh of relief... a bit too blonde, so Jen you will have to put some brown in it when I get back mate.
4) Bought 13 albums on the ipod in Bangkok, 4 were free so I chose my 4 which were. The Eurithmics, Michael Jackson No 1's, Missy Elliot Respect Me and 2 Many DJ's.
5) Sunbathed with Becky, Tim and Mike all day today
6) Said Goodbye to Time whose off to Chang Mai
Summary of Bangkok: Old Bangkok Khosan Road:
Thought I would hate it but loved it, we were in a great hotel called Rabruttri on Rambrutti road with a pool on the roof. Everything is so cheap you could save loads of money here but on the opposite side there is so many things to spend your money on! After a few days you know all the stalls and markets shops so could get a bit boring. Mike checked his balance finally at the HSBC bank in the New Bangkok, we went on the sky train. We also went to see Wat Arun one of the temples but if i'm honest i only go to the temples because it is wat you are "supposed to do" here it actually quite bores me after a few minutes. We ate our meals from little trolly people in the road to save a bit of money, good night life not for dancing but for drinking and people watching. We saw the Shisha bar which I will save for when Mum comes smoking out of those long bong things! Me and Mike have vowed not to have a drink for a few months since New Year so we didnt drink here. On the whole I loved Bangkok.
