Beautiful! We caught a local bus from Irkutsk for the hour drive to Listvyanka. The small lakeside village is really quiet and peaceful. The frozen lake baikal with the snow topped mountains in the background looked stunning in the sunshine. It was a nice sunny day with temperatures reaching 20 degrees which is a lot more than we were expecting. We have stretched our legs again after days on the train. We also walked some of the great baikal trail which took us amongst the taiga we have been watching from the train. Our hotel is great with a lake view. We are heading out for some Omul shortly before going back to Irkutsk to explore tomorrow.
