This morning was our first visit to ihop where we had the most amazing breakfast ever. It was then another drive straight to Little Rock Arkansas. (I guess Oklahoma and Arkansas could be termed fly over states!)

After another amazing nights sleep it was time to leave The Big Texan and we drove out from Amarillo to El Reno in Oklahoma. We got to go horse riding today! We rode at the beautiful Palo Duro Riding Stables. It was a great stables that has been in the same family for three generations. The family live in the canyon which is absolutely stunning. We then drove around the entire state park which was lovely. The cactus all had big yellow flowers. Thought my watch had broken when I woke at ten past ten but it hadn't! (must be the wooden shutters making it dark). Enjoyed a lazy day around the Texas shaped hotel pool before going to the Tascosa drive-in. This was something we had both wanted to do and it did not disappoint. Today we drove out from Albuquerque to Amarillo. First we stopped at Rebel Donut for a Blue Sky Breaking Bad Donut! We then enjoyed driving more Route 66. As we left New Mexico behind a big storm was brewing. We drove along another Route 66 dirt track as we crossed over to Texas past derelict restrooms and motels.
