Friday night we hopped in the car with Brooke, Steve, and Megan and drove at warp speed 200 kph to Munich to get to oktoberfest. We couldn't afford to pay for a hotel so we stayed on the floor of steve's mates gym.
Saturday morning we got up put on the traditional German outfits and headed for Oktoberfest. The tents, that hold around 5000 people each, are so busy you have to get there at 10 am when they open to make sure that you can sit with your friends. If you don't sit you don't drink.
After 7 hours of merry drinking 7% beer i smashed my glass while cheersing Steve and the broken glass went through the front of my thumb. Needless to say by the time I went to the onsite hospital and had 6 stiches we had lost every one and we went back to the gym.
Saturday we had a look around Munich, it is quite nice. Saw people surfing in a river and lots of nice parks and buildings. I would like to come back one day.
