Hello again everyone. As Nat has crashed out on the bed after a hard day of sunbathing, I figure its my turn to do the blog and photos?
We hope youre enjoying reading our blog and looking at the pics as much as we are enjoying doing it.
Well we left off yesterdays blog that I was choosing somewhere to eat, and I can honestly say I made a great choice of a lakeside restuarant called Prime. It had that name for a reason, great food, great location and not too bad a price either. $128 (about £64) for 3 courses and drinks. YUMMY! :) To add to that we were overlooking the lake esplanade and we were entertained by some old boy playing a trumpet and pan pipes (not at the same time!) who was later joined by some people doing some pretty funky dancing. Thats simply not the British thing to do.... we satnd back and make rude comments like 'You're s**t' and 'Get a f*****g job!'.
So onto today. As it is our last free day of nothingness until we get to Fiji we thought we would just chill out, which I'm pleased to say we successfully have. No hiking, no trips, just a casual stroll and subathing around Queenstown garden and bay. Its been lush! Very hot and clear day, so I think we may have caught a bit of sun. Woo hoo!
Todays relaxation continues this evening with an hour in the hot pools (www.onsen.co.nz) Bliss.
We probably won't get time to do a blog tomorrow as we have an early start followed by a very busy day, starting with a trip to the Milford Sound (http://www.realjourneys.co.nz/Main/MilfordSoundNatureCruises/), we will then be dropped off at or next hotel in Te Anau (http://www.dunluce-fiordland.co.nz/). Finally we are going on an eveing trip to see the glow worms (http://www.realjourneys.co.nz/Main/TeAnau/)!!! Phew!
Bye for now peeps.
Nathan & sleepy Nat xx
