this is right in front of Mabul resort, apparantely put there by a vengeful oil-rich billionaire expat who tried to buy land on Mabul island and was refused. He got his revenge by importing this oil rig from Brunei and putting it right in front of the resorts to spoil their view. Ironically, it is now one of their best dive sites..
