After packing my bag it was time to go.
Firstly we went to the post office, so I could send all kinds of stuff back home that wouldn't be usefull in Indonesia and the rest of my trip. Then I say goodbye to Shinya and take the train to Osaka.
After some initial difficulties I finally arrive at the hotel, which appears to be close to the airport but far from the city centre. I take a nice shower and head back to the city, as I only have one day in Osaka.
First stop: the harbour and the aquarium. Osaka has the largest aquarium in the world, and have amongst others two tiger-sharks. I spend quite some time in this aquarium as it is a very elaborate and informative museum.
My next stop is Dotonbori, a big street famous for the neon signs, shops and restaurants. In this street I have a nice ramen meal and try some takoyaki or octopus-balls, a popular snack from Osaka. This part of the city has a very similar feel as Tokyo: very cool and hip.
After dinner it is time to head back to the hotel, which takes approximately 1 hour by the local train. Tomorrow I have my flight to Bali, so I want to get some rest before starting a new part of my trip!
