Stefan charged off to get the car. We used the time to grab some breakfast in the lounge. We took Stefan a bacon sandwich for his trouble.
At the airport we said our goodbyes, as their flight to Barcelona left at 10.55. At this point I discovered that the business lounge is only available to international passengers. So after a brief walk down the road to the petrol station. I stood and looked at the view from the picture. My flight was delayed till 13:20. I stood for a long time. I'm not going to lie it was very grim. What made it more galling was by the time I boarded I knew Stefan & Amanda had landed in Barcelona.
My mood improved on the flight with a glass of wine & three seats to myself. At Zagreb as soon as I landed it was time to board the flight to London.
Not only was I in seat 1A on this flight, I was the only business passenger on this busy flight. With four rows to myself and a lovely three course meal, I had a great flight.
At Heathrow I took the local bus for free towards the hotel. I turned right when I got of the bus. Big mistake. If I had turned left I would have made it to the hotel 50minutes earlier.
When I checked in I found out the pool was closed for a wedding. This was the main reason why I had booked this hotel. The room was very nice, as was the fish & chips I had in the American bar.
I called it an early night to be ready for the states tomorrow.
