Wow it's been quite a many days on the road already! And it's been a real adventure. We continue to have technical issues with the bikes daily. The weather it's been cold and rainy, and none of us have proper clothes to stay warm. And it's not cool to put on your muddy and wet clothes back on in the mornings. We've stayed in a lot of small towns and villages where no one speaks English (even to order coffee and tea has been a pain, we've gathered a basic diction...

We took a 2-day one night cruise in Halong Bay, it was all included, expensive and very beautiful:) We sailed on this gorgeous wooden boat, really sweet cabins btw, and a breathtaking view. First day we went to this cave and did some kayaking as well. Evening was spent playing cards (yanif), as usual. Man I find sailing on a boat so romantic and this one was just so beautiful. Only minus was that the food was mediocre, drinks were not included and we had to give...

Too bad my blog library don't have any pictures of Sapa. It's frigging gorgeous! I love these mountain towns: Bukittinggi in Indonesia, Pai in Thailand and now Sapa in Vietnam. This one might be the most gorgeous and also the coldest of them all:) We didn't have too much time here, but we got to go around a bit with motorbikes, and enjoy the beautiful town. Mine and Amos' hotel room has a great balcony with a pretty ok view to the freshfood market and the valley...

So the bus from 4000 Island and Pakse to Hue wasn't the most pleasant. It was supposed to take 24 hours, in the end it took 35 cause our bus broke down. Well, good way to make friends with the others when you're all stuck in the middle of nowhere together. When we finally arrived, the bus dropped us off 15km away from Hue (wtf right?) and we had to take a minibus to reach. Si Phan Don, aka 4000 islands, is the southern-most point of Laos where the Mekong river breaks into pieces leaving a bunch of islands in between. Don Det is the one packpackers prefer. I spent 4 nights there and loved every minute of it! Those 4 days consisted of a lot of swimming, floating around in a tube and swimming in between islands, laying in a hammock, reading, eating very very well (in this most amazing Indian restaurant), having campfires on the beach...
