This week we had a change from same old lessons in school. On Thursday we left for an overnight stay at Khao Sok National Park to run an English Camp for just over thirty of the teachers at our school.
Luckily for me I had already been to a part of Khao Sok when I was previously in Thailand but it was very different as it was an overnight stay in a floating bungalow. I enjoyed it immensely and was keen to return, even if it was in a teaching capacity.
As with everything here it was a case of turning up and thinking of activities and games on the spot, but it seemed to run well and the teachers seemed to enjoy. After the course finished for the day on Thursday, we were lucky enough to be taken to Ratchaprapha dam and to our surprise one of the teachers paid for a longtail boat to take us out. It was beautiful, we saw the 'three friends' cliffs and some floating bungalows among other things. As it was getting late we watched the sunset on our return to the port.
The second day ran similarly to the first, but was cut short so we didn't run out of material. The park is so beautiful I just want to go back and see more of it.
