We arrived in The Cameron Highlands in the afternoon on the 2nd October not he 4th after 6hrs travelling. It was quite cold which was actually a nice change from the humidity in the cities! It was really pretty, we stayed in a place called hilltop lodge which had great views.
There wasn't much to do in the town we were staying, just a few shops and plenty of food as usual for Malaysia!!
We had a common room so we all put our warm cloths on, got our pillows and watched a couple of DVD's. We went out for dinner in the town that evening which was really good. They basically bring out a huge pot with hot soup in and put in the middle of the table. They then bring loads of raw food which you cook yourselves in the pot. We had chicken, pork, Malay veg, fish, squid, 2 different types of noodles lovely!!
In the morning we went on a tour which went to some gardens which weren't that interesting, a butterfly farm which was cool there were thousands of them. After that we went to a strwberry farm which was obiousley just so we wld spend money in the shop!! It was good though, had the nicest strawberry ice cream ever!! We then went to a tea plantation which I really enjoyed. We drove up the mountain and could see all the tea plants and the people working in the fields then at the top is the factory which we had a quick tour of. They showed us all the different stages they do through to make the tea. After the tour we went to the cafe and I had a very nice cup of Cameron Highland tea and cake.
The tour finished about 1pm and we boarded the bus to KL for yet some more coach travel!!
