Hello!
Well since I posted on here the other day we've been to the Grand Ole Opry, it was amazing!!!! It felt so surreal to be there actually watching the show and the adverts that the guy reads out in between singers kept making is laugh (because it's a radio show so he repeated the same ones loads). We got to see Chris Young who was amazing (we've both decided we're goign to marry him) and LITTLE JIMMY DICKENS! haha I love him! I went up to the front to take a photo and then he commented on the fact I did afterwards, loved it! The show was 2 hours long and we were sooo close to the front because I bought the best tickets haha, hardcore! I also went a bit mental in the Opry shop with a tshirt and a keyring and the usual tourist stuff oops! When am I going to be here again though right? We also visited the Vanderbilt uni buildings because they're opposite our hotel so we went in pretending to be students, American uni's are so cool!!
Today we went to Opry Mills which was a huge shopping mall, I was looking at the cowboy boots but there were all like $200 so I'm holding out for a cheaper pair! We've also just been exploring around the area getting to know it, Sophie is obsessed with the bus system maps, she looks at it every 2 minutes she may as well tattoo it to her hand haha. Love it really because it means we're super organised when it comes to buses!! Loads of weird old men keep asking if we're sisters too, that must be the pick up line around here!
Tomorrow we're going to go pick up our access cards for the tourist attractions and we're going to try and do the Country Music Hall of Fame tomorrow. Tomorrow night we want to check out the bars along broadway hopefully! We'll see what happens though because we've got 7 full days here all together so we're taking it easy a bit rather than trying to pack everything into the first few days.
Also, a bit of exciting news... I just received an email from the Brad Paisley website and the title of it was 'CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE BEEN SELECTED FOR...' so I was like WOW I'VE WON MEET AND GREET! Turns out I never...but I did win the VIP backstage tour which is basically the booby prize for not winning Meet and Greet, not that I'm complaining it's still well cool! You never know I may also catch a glimpse of him or get to meet his band! Or even see one of his guitars! haha I'm excited!
Anyway I'd better go now, I'll keep you all updated on what I'm up to!
Love Hannah xxx
