Today we went to Hamley's toy shop. It is very big and famous. It had lots of toys. The staff show you how the toys worked and you got to play with them. A man did lots of magic tricks with a magic light. Lily bought them and will learn how to use them. We visited 5 levels in the store and we spent 3 hours there. My favourite level was level 1 because it had a wall of 'huffle puffles', well that's what Lily and I call them (Beanie Balls). There was a man with an air blower and when he fired it, a burst of air hit your head. My Dad liked the remote control cars that could drive up walls. There were big Lego statues of soldiers and Prince William and Princess Kate and the Queen and her dog!! There were magic markers that changed colours when you put them over the top of each other. We did some shopping on Carnaby Road. Afterward we went on a double decker red bus and an underground train to the Phoenix Theatre near Leicester Square. We saw a theatre production called 'Once'. It was a musical love story set in Dublin. At interval Dad was able to buy a beer from a bar on the stage that was part of the set. He was pretty happy with himself. Mum and Dad loved the play but I was a little hot, tired and bored. It was late at night. We caught the train home and I went straight to bed. It was a busy day we went to Oxford Circus, Leicester Square, Kensington, Soho, Westbourne Park and maybe some more places that I can't remember.
