San Pedro de Atacama is awesome and I've finally found where all the travelers have been hiding. San Pedro is a really small village in the middle of the desert with a huge volcano in the distance. The lava left by the volcano when it last erupted (hundreds of years ago), created fertile land which the village grew upon. It's amazing. Dear All So here I am in Santiago. What was I thinking? I arrived yesterday very excited, although slightly disorientated having gone back in time by 16 hours, yes I'm behind you all now. For the first time on my trip I'm completely by myself, no trusty 'Greyhound', where your guaranteed to meet people if you like it or not. I half expected to be surrounded by fellow travelers at the Hostel, but no such luck as I'm the only person staying here - seriously...
