Hi everybody,

We arrived safely with no trouble, and got to our hotel! Not many stories to tell as we've been too scared to venture very far, but we've explored Copacabana a little bit.
The most interesting sight we have seen so far was a group of leathery old men in the smallest swimming trunks on the beach playing a rather energetic game of volleyball.
We're still feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all, but hopefully when we get down to the hostel and meet other travellers we'll be able to share our worries and hopefully get some good advice. Then we can experience a bit more of Rio when we're a bit more street wise.
Anyway. This internet is costing a bomb. So we will update when we next get the chance.
