First things first - this blogs is rubbish! We have spent hours trying to get things on it only for it to tell us it can't. It lies.
Well we have had a busy few weeks - Bangkok, Kanchanaburi, Ayuthaya, Lopburi, Chaing Mai, Chaing Rai in Thailand and Huay Xai, Pak Beng, Luang Prabang and Viang Vieng in Loas.
We spent a couple of days looking around Bangkok - lots of temples and wiley people. Then we went to Kanchanaburi - it is on the River Kwai and we stayed just down the road from it in floating room. Great until the Karoke boats went crazy during the night! While we were there we went to a Tiger Temple and patted and walked (of a fashion!) them.
In Ayuthaya we saw loads of old Wats - it was really amazing gigantic, ancient looking temples on every corner. We stayed in a carpark here but Alex was happy as we had a TV and he watched Spurs. In Lopburi I got attacked by a monkey. I think it was trying to hump my leg - dirty b*****!
Then we went trekking in Chiang Mai where we got attcked but banjo playing locals who kept stealling beer and performing annoying tricks with string. Alex loved the tricks. Then we went elephant riding which was brilliant.
We pretty much worked our way over to Laos and spent 2 days sailing down the Mekong River (including my birthday). Some silly sod on our boat fell in and some annoying kid hung his sour-milk smelling pants out to dry on the seat in front of us and proceded to sing the back catalogue of Andrew Lloyd Webber in our ears (he had then moved behind us cause his "washing"smelt so bad)!
Eventually we arrived in Luang Prabang (on my birthday). We got the last room in town - it was the bridal suite!! We went to a brilliant waterfall and some rubbish caves whilst and have today arrived in Viang Vieng. It was a hellish bus journey of which I shall not speak but nevermind as tomorrow we are going kayaking!
That is about all I can tell you for now so come back soon
Alex and Hannah xx
