I got the bus to Montevideo this morning, which is also fabulous. The city has just hundreds of stunning buildings everywhere, and some of the biggest buildings I have ever seen. Again, seeing the photos is the best way to show Uruguay. Omtevideo was very different to Colonia though. There is some real poverty here and its much more in your face. I wandered off the beaten track (or whatever it is people say) and it was pretty nerve wracking for a while, but all was good. People watching was pretty interesting too as the first thing I saw was a guy in a suit bagging his head and his body against a lampost!! Its a real business area, but is also a mix of everyone else Uruguay has to offer. Its one of the places Ive had the most comments from locals, but that may be as much to do with me being back on my own. Anyway, summary is . . LOVE URUGUAY!! Might marry one of the boys and move here now. Just another to add to my list of possible destination!
