G'day G'day how ya going.....
Hello everyone 9 days till Christmas woooop......
Firstly apologies for not writing on this for a week we have been very busy busy, secondly " winer storms batter Britain" is Britain battered? ( maybe thats why no one has written to us hahaha)
Anyway on Monday we went to Phillip island! It was awesom. First stop was a wildlife conservation park, all the animals there are really tame so we could hand feed them, first up we saw wallabies, (got loads of pics I wanted to take one home). Then we saw kangaroos! And hand fed them, they put there paws up on you it's soo cute. I got a picture with a koala, there more like bears, I thought they were supposed to be small and cute but there huge with massive claws.we also saw dingoes, emus, Tasmanian devil, parrots, weird looking lizards, think that's all there. We then went to Churchill island and saw sheep and cows( oooo exciting). It was a pretty full day but really fun, saw massive waves at cape woolamai, went to a chocolate factory omg the hot chocolate in oz is amazing!. Finally we went to the penguin parade!! Your not allowed to take any pictures of the penguins as it affect there little eyes. We sat on the beach for about an hour waiting for them, we were so cold! But it was worth the wait, hundreds of tiny penguins swam out of the sea( there so tiny you actually need binoculars to see them!) and waddled up the beach into there homes on the land. We got back to the hostel at about midnight but had to pack our bags for camping.
On Tuesday we woke up at 5.00am, we got picked up at 6.00 to go on our camping trip. We had a really good time but marks hay fever was really bad, he put Vaseline on his nose, tied a sarong around his head and to make things look worse it was so cold that he was wearing all of his thermals so all you could see was his eyes, everyone couldn't stop laughing when they saw him!. We did loads on this trip, so il just tell you our favourites..... We obviously saw the twelve apostles even though there's only 8.5 left, there stunning but at the end of the day they are just rocks in the water, great ocean road is very pretty but it was so cold that we had to wear so many layers to keep us warm even on the van!!, we had lunch at cape otway lighthouse which was really nice, walked through a rainforest which was freezing, saw loads of koalas and kangaroos in the wild we even saw a koala try and rape a female koala ( YouTube it it's very disturbing the noises they make are awful). We camped right by the twelve apostles in a place called prince town ( population 11) the site was called 13 apostles, it was so nice, much comfier than v festival!. The next day wewent to shipwreck coast, loch and gorge, London bridge ( these are rocks too!). The next night we stayed at a wildlife campsite in the grampians which was fun there were kangaroos everywhere here! And only 6 people camping!. We had a campfire then went to bed but I was scared a snake would attack us so I didn't get much sleep! . On Thursday we had lunch at a sunken volcano, went to an aboriginal centre, saw more wildlife - some were sleeping on the side of the road holding there breath. Oo and a waterfall.
We are going to canberra tonight, it takes 8 hours to get there so hopefully the greyhound is comfortable!, speak to you all soon.
Missing everyone and mums bovril beef yum xxxxxxxxxx
Ps we are trying to download pics to Facebook, but it takes about an hour to upload one!!, if anyone knows how to download more than one pic at a time please tell us!! Ahh x
