H : So we are in Bangkok now after 4 nights in Hong Kong, there is just so much to write!!! Hong Kong was really amazing, we enjoyed everything about it, we crammed so much into our four days, im sure you will all be impressed that i managed a few boat journeys!! We were staying on Kowloon Island which was in my opinion quite traditional with lots of street selling and little shops and restaurants. Hong Kong island was quite different and very impressive, we went to the peak of the Island on a tram where we had some amazing views (and photos that i will upload soon!) I really enjoyed seeing the giant tiantan buddha on Lantau, despite of the metro, boat, scary bus and many steps journey! It was so worth every scary second! Hong Kong was beautiful at night with all the pretty lights and light displays, i would definately love to go back. At the moment we are in Bangkok, as we only arrived last night we couldnt arrange anything to do today so we are just planning tomorrow and our trip down to Krabi on tuesday. Tomorrow we are visiting the floating market and the grand palace, very excited! I still havent made my mind up about Bangkok yet, im keeping an open mind!
I hope you are all well and i miss you all xxxx
P.S., Good luck with your exams Soph (not long now)!!!!!!!!!
M : H summed up Hong Kong well, the city is amazing! Bangkok smells and it's hot! A typical 5min walk consists of 47 taxi drivers offering you their service, 34 'massage' palours offering their service and about 28 peple trying to sell you t-shirts or watches. On your way you will pass about 22 'couples' (a 50 something westerner and a 20 something thai women). Thats pretty much Bangkok so far, looking forward to the rest of it.
H : I forgot to mention the very scary centepides that crawl across the pavement! sooo hugeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
M : I reckon one could eat a gerbil!!
