It is hott. Really hott. So we are off to the Alps.
This week has been really nice, Virgil has been working and I had to take some pre tests required by school, so it was the perfect time to get those done. I barely left the apartment during the day because it was too unbearable, but, at night, we would meet his friends Siro and Simo for drinks by the river where there was a breeze. I slept a lot, organized a lot and just recovered from 4 1/2 months of travel. It was perfect.
This weekend started the Italian holiday season, the whole country takes a holiday at the same time which is interesting logistically. We decided to wait until Monday or Tuesday to leave to avoid traffic, so we headed to Verona for a night on Saturday. It was Virgil, Siro and I and we walked around Verona, had a happy hour and then headed to a nearby town on Lago de Gada for a night out. We went to a few bars and, around 1, headed to a discotech for some dancing. The first place was great, I met some British people there (great to speak to Native English speakers again) and the music was really fun. The boys decided they wanted to leave and go to a different place so we went to a place called The Art disco. We walk in and it takes 2 seconds to realize this was a drag queen disco. It was great. The boys pretended to like it for about an hour and then, after a few more drinks, started getting a little freaked out. I think it really started around the "Prince and Madonna" karaoke contest. I was laughing, laughing, laughing.
Yesterday, we ran some last minute errands, made some reseravations for the mountains and the beach and today we are off to Selva de Velgardena. It should be great. It is a nice, cool 88 degrees haha. Also we will be there for The Night of the Falling Stars. Apparently, it is a night in August every year where it looks like the stars are falling from the sky. Should be beautiful.
Still eating the most delicious pasta, pizza and gelatto ever.

Sheldon Jealous of you Mrs. Hallock, take me with you! I'll send you a personal message with my address Linds, I want overnight shipments of pasta, pizza, gelatto and wine to my door please.
cass Dance amongst the falling stars for me. Feet on the ground and hands to the heavens. And it wouldnt hurt to have a little gelato leftovers on your cheek. Ciao/chow!
Dad Prince and Madonna karaoke? Wish I were there. I bet Shell and Cass could do an awesome Madonna...
Shell Mr. Hallock you would be correct on that bet. Though our usual go-to's in karaoke are Rod Stewart (maggie may) and Whitney Houston. Cass is a great baritone.
