So it has finally happened, my first irritable lindsey moment, we all knew it would. The culprit: lunch (of course)
Mom, Dad and beeches will be most familiar with this moment though i am sure all of you have seen glimpses, it usually happens when there are loud noises mixed with low blood sugar. Also, as I write this, the moment is not completely over because I promised in-the-moment rants and a little child is hitting me with her fairy wand, im breathing..breathing..breathing....
So today was the first really hott day at the greenhouse and Ynon forgot to pick us up. I dont blame him, they have guests plus there are a thousand things going on and they are leaving tomorrow so they have a lot to prepare for. He ended up picking us up at 1:30, past my lunch time definitely. It is part of Israeli culture, from what I gather,to have long, sophisticated, extended lunch sessions- not good for an irritable, dirty chick ready to eat her face off. We get back to the farm and start to cook, we decide on rice and lentils, roasted cauliflower with tahina and a salad because Adi picked us up some awesome greens in the city yesterday. Anyway, there is chaos in the kitchen, chopping, children screaming in the background (im feeing the irritablity rise up inside of me) and then the cherry arrives- the dog, Ozzie (who is my mortal enemy) and his new friend (a virtual elephant) who is completely covered in horse and goat s***, and they will not go away. They are roaming around the picnic table while people are moving ovens, boiling pots, chopping vegetables, loudly laughing and, it happens, i feel completely trapped. I am stuck in the corner by the oven to my right, the picnic table in front, the wall to the left and a poop covered devil dog quickly approaching. What do I do? I have to take action or risk alienating all of the new friends I have made who don't yet understand and accept my Lindsey moments like you all do- so i climbed over the picnic table and went to my room for 10 minutes. I think everyone understood and appreciated that I took the time because no one said anything and I was ok after that...until the flies starting flying all over my food and the dog came back. I generally don't love animals and this one- I want to punch him in the face and feed him to the horses. Anyway, I am on cheese duty until 4 and then I am going to go off a bit and watch the sunset in the badlands maybe. The sandstorms have finally stopped and I think the sky will be amazing tonight- peace at last.
Shout out to my dad for best comment yet on the blog! Love you guys

Lizard Linds, I can picture this moment perfectly. Such an excellent Lindsey moment. And as a lover of animals- one covered in crap does not sound like an animal that I would love either. So glad to hear that you are having fun! I can't wait to hear more about your trip!
