We originally departed from Port Douglas in Far North Queensland on the 22nd August 2011. We arrived in Perth Western Australia 12 days later.
After visiting friends and relatives including a trip to the UK and Thailand to visit family and friends, attending Weddings. We are now on count down to leave Perth with the car and Caravan. We left Banksia Resort after a fabtastic stay with Linda and Steve 24/5/12 and we are still workingout how to send this!!!! First stop S bend near Grenough, south of Geraldton. 3 days in and around Geraldton was enough before we headed off to Mr. Magnet. Had an overnight stop 10 miles north...not very exciting and COLD..lots of truck noises. Next night fabulous on the banks of the Gascoyne River a beautiful freebie, lots of birds and Keith even washed the car with river water...more road trains.... Keith insisted I publish this but it wont let me until we put a photo up!!

Steve At last you have published. I checked this morning and saw you still had not got anything published. I was about to hack you and write it for you!! Glad you are getting on top of it now. Looking forward to hearing all about your travels
Ann No! Keith didn't wash the car! Can't believe it! Good to hear you are getting on the road proper at last, there are lots of great freebies once you get further North. Enjoy! Ps our coffee machine has withdrawal systems!!
Anne and Terry xx Good to hear from you. Hope you enjoy it all. We have just had our vinyl (on the front of the van plus the boot) replaced with checker-plate. The vinyl was badly faded and it looks great now. Ready for off ourselves, but too much on until end of July then we'll be off too. Keep us all informed. xxxx lots of love us. xx
Mo Atkinson Look forward to keeping up with you as you continue you travels. Just starting Jubilee Celebrations here and off to a Concert at The Royal Hall tonight and celebration lunch at Masham tomorrow. I bit cold after hot weather here but we are british and can take it! lots of love x x
Sally & Rob Good to see where you are, will be following your route with interest for reference of where we might camp & explore, and where our paths will cross. We'll be leaving Port Douglas about 22nd June. love,
Angus Crowe Keith & Gloria - you cant go past Karijini National Park without giving my regards - its god's own country out there. I spent three days on my own with just a hat & shoes on swimming/walking up through the gorges in 1988. It's absolutely beautiful.
