On the way to Toowoomba city of flowers had a couple of "freebies" on the way at Theodore and Myles. Roads were bloody awful to say the least. We tried to book in for The Carnival of flowers BUT school holidays are upon us and there was no room at the inn so to speak. We had four days and visited all the wonderful Parks also the Cobb and Co. museum (Australia's Wells Fargo stage coaches) Next stop Gold Coast and meet up with Phil and Lyn.

Arrived at Blackwater at friends Col and Jeanelle's. They have been our friends for many years owners of the Catarmaran Eureka 111. They have both been working in the Coal mining industy for the last 5 years. We once again became "lawn dwellers" despite their offer of a bedroom...we are very comfy in our own space. We were treated to lots of Barramundi and crayfish as Col is a keen fisherman. We also went to the local pub to celebrate one of their friends 60th....

Stopped off at Nebo Historic Hotel 1868. Camped in exclusive spot alongside river all on our own, fantastic. Roads have been horrendous.

We are about to leave on our third leg of our trip around Australia. Amazing to think that we started on the 22nd August 2011 from Port Douglas. We will now go down the East Coast from Port Douglas taking in all Ports to Tasmania. We seem to have lost some of our input we are now South of Collinsville and were rudely awakened, surrounded by cattle at least 20 deep. Lotsa mooing, snorting and fresh pancakes.
