4th Sept- on the train to Verona, Italy. Beautiful scenery again along the coast which was a nice surprise as other train trips we felt the train lines go through some average areas compared to what we have seen in the car all those years ago.
Arrived in Verona late pm. Delightful place, very excited to see our stunning apartment overlooking Juliet's balcony. A bit surreal!
Again very warm, the locals say about 6 deg warmer than normal this time of year.
Balmy days & nights. We feel the weather gods have blessed us. Evening meals in the piazza around the corner.
Wed 5th Oct-Wandered this beautiful city. Not many tourists & so many surprises down the alleyways. Great cappuccino, French ones pretty average!
The water has that striking green tinge, apparently coming from the alps so a little like Switzerland. Liz & Paul off to Venice tomorrow & we will continue to explore here,
having been to Venice last trip.
